Sab ka Malik Ek- Shri Sadguru Sai Nath
Sri Shirdi Saibaba was known for simplicity of his philosophy and his teachings appealed to a large number of devotees. His promise was that he would always be there for them in the moments of crisis. Saibaba preached at Shirdi all his life and performed numerous miracles to convince people that God exists; he healed people’s diseases, provided moral & material comfort to his devotees. Saibaba helped in bringing unity and harmony amongst all communities. He said that God is one but called by different names “SAB KA MALIK EK HAI”.
Saibaba’s persona:
His message was peace and harmony. He was calm like a deep sea. He was most generous person and storehouse of wisdom. He had conquered worldly pleasures; he was always engrossed in self-realization which was his sole concern. His speech was like nectar and people flocked to him like bees to a flower. He had love towards all people irrespective of being rich or poor, or people belonging to different castes etc. He spoke freely and mixed with all sorts of people and watched the plays and dances of nautch girls and their songs, still he was always in a state of Samadhi (mental equilibrium). Saibaba was very fond of singing God’s name. He always used to say “Allah Malik”{God is the lord}.Saibaba was a humble servant of God. Many people in this world have asked various questions whether he is a God! But Saibaba has said that:
“Be wherever you like, do whatever you choose, remember this well that all you do is known to me. I’m the inner ruler of all and seated in their hearts. I envelope all the creatures. I’m the controller- wire puller of the show of this universe. I’m the mother origin of all beings, the harmony of three gunas, propeller of all senses, the creator, preserver and destroyer. Nothing will harm who turns his attention towards me; rest maya will lash or whip him who forgets me. All the insects, ants, visible, movable and immovable world is my body or form”.
He also said that” To him who surrenders in body, mind and speech to Me, I remain ever indebted. If a person sings of my leelas, or remembers me, I will give him infinite joy and everlasting contentment.
Saibaba about the worldly life:
One day when Saibaba was alone, Nana Chandorkar, a disciple of Saibaba told him that he is finding “samsara”(worldly life) very fearful, his mind is not interested in worldly affairs, please give salvation from these attachments. On hearing this, Saibaba smiled and said “there is truth in what you are saying, but remaining is untruth & meaningless. You are under the impression that by going to forests, one can escape from the trials and tribulation of samsara, but it is not correct. It is only an illusion because wherever you go, your body and mind are with you only. They will never leave you, but will be giving some kind of happiness. Our past actions are the basis for our present troubles and happiness. They should be faced courageously and you should lead a family life in a proper way, by getting away from samsara one cannot attain happiness. Everyone who proceeds in a spiritual way will have to face all these problems and to think of vairagya(dispassion) as a solution is not correct”.
Saibaba’s advice to people:
His constant advice was “Ram(God of Hindus)and Rahim(God of Muslims) were one and the same; there was not the slightest difference between them, then why should their devotees fallout and quarrel among themselves? You should join hands, bring both the communities together, act sanely and thus they will be the subject of national unity. It is not good to dispute and argue, do not emulate others. Always consider your interest and welfare. The Lord will protect you. Yoga, sacrifice, penance and knowledge are the means to attain God. If you do not succeed in this by any means, it is not worth living in this birth. If anyone does any evil to you, do not retaliate. If you can do something, please be good to others; this alone will take care of material and spiritual matters”.
Hence Saibaba was an embodiment of peace, love and compassion and an enigma to all.
