The ICC world cup 2011 is being hosted in India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh from the 19th February 2011. The first match in the series will be played between India and Bangladesh in Mirpur. The final match of the tournament will be played on the 2nd April 2011 at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. This world cup is the tenth held till now. Australia is the defending champion this time also. However, as the tournament is being jointly hosted by the South Asian cricket playing countries, the Indian team is the favorite and serious contender this time.

The big guns of the Indian cricket are Sachin Tendulkar, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Virendra Sehwag, Zahir Khan, Gautam Gambhir and Harbhajan Singh who will most probably remain in the playing eleven this time also. However, cricket is a team game. Individual performances sometimes matter very much but consistent performance of the players of the team is absolutely necessary. If the whole team plays as a unit, victory may not be far away from sight. In this article we are going to focus on the three players who have been included in the fifteen member squad. This is the first world cup match for all the three.

Astrological analyses have been done on the basis of available information about these players. Moon charts and transit charts relating to them signify their selection in the fifteen member squad. They may prove to be the dark horses for the Indian team this time.
 
Sreesanth:

Sreesanth’s inclusion became possible due to the injury of Pravin Kumar. He was born on 6th February 1983 in Kothamanglam, Kerala. In the prashna horoscope the third, sixth and eighth house are interrelated. This explains his sudden inclusion in the team like a wild card entry. Vipreet rajya yoga was under operation.

In his Moon chart, the transiting Jupiter and Saturn aspect his Moon sign. Mars is transiting from the third house of courage suggesting that he may be the player to watch in 2011 world cup. It would not be a surprise if he outperforms other bowlers of the Indian team.

Yusuf Pathan:

Yusuf Pathan was born on the 17th November 1982 in Baroda. He has been in limelight after his heroic attempt to salvage Indian innings in recently concluded India – South Africa one day matches.

He will be second player to be watched during the tournament. This is because transiting Jupiter and Saturn aspect both the natal Moon and the Sun. The rashi lord Mars is also transiting from exaltation rashi in the third house. Match-winning performances from him may not be surprising.

Virat Kohli:

Virat Kohli was born on the 5th November 1988 in Delhi. He is the third player to be watched during the tournament. In the horoscope of Virat Kohli, the third lord Mars is exalting in the fifth house in the transit chart indicating that he may show a rare blend of courage, talent and confidence during the series.

The transit of Saturn over his Moon will give him right focus and concentration to pace his innings properly whereas aspect of Jupiter on his Moon sign will give him the necessary luck to justify his place in the playing squad.
